Our Hydrotherapy Spa Pool is available to hire on a per hour basis for supervised or assisted sessions.
Hydrotherapy provides stimulation and gentle exercise for our clients with complex needs and can also be beneficial to anyone for pain relief, relaxation, exercise or recovery from an injury.
Our spa pool has an average temperature of around 35 degrees Celsius which is significantly warmer than a normal swimming pool. This effects neuro-muscular junctions to decrease muscle tone and reduce muscle spasms.
Our spa pool has a jet flow setting which can be used for exercise (swimming against the flow of the jets). Creating turbulence in the water with jets can help disabled people to increase awareness of limbs and help with the development of mobility.
Children and young people with chest problems can improve their lung capacity and breathing ability through water therapy including movement in the water and the pressure of water on the body.
